There is good news, and there is bad news. Which do you want first?
The good?
OK, here it goes:
The good news: CSK's chances more than DOUBLED today with Deccan Chargers winning!
The bad news: My guess is that even with this increase, we go from a 1.4% chance to 3.5%
Here's how:
Chance of a DD victory over KXP = 70%, chance of a Deccan win over RCB = 5%
Combined probability = 0.7 x 0.05 = 0.035 or THREE and a HALF percent. Just slightly more than a 1 in 30 chance.
Now if only DD can beat KXIP tomorrow, our chances go up to 5%!
Still a loyal Chennai fan for all that the team has done for us over several years!
